Federal prosecutors in Florida officially unsealed indictments against former Cuban leader Raúl Castro and five others on Wednesday. Citing Reuters, Friday (22/5/2026), these charges relate to the incident of the shooting down of two civilian aircraft by the Cuban military 30 years ago, where the official announcement was made by officials at a press conference in Miami. The federal criminal charges against the now 94-year-old Castro--brother of the late Fidel Castro and widely seen as one of the most powerful figures in Cuba--mark a new escalation in the Donald Trump administration's pressure campaign against the Cuban government. Castro himself served as president of Cuba from 2008 to 2018 and as a high-ranking official in the country's Communist Party from 2011 to 2021.[1]

Castro was indicted in Miami on April 23 on one count of conspiracy to murder a U.S. citizen, four counts of murder, and two counts of aircraft destruction. A judge later granted prosecutors' request to open the 20-page indictment on Wednesday. The charges focus on the Cuban air force's decision to shoot down two civilian airliners flown by the Florida-based exile group Brothers to the Rescue in February 1996, killing four people. The indictment states that the planes were outside Cuban airspace at the time of the shootings. The five other named defendants are identified as Cuban fighter pilots, including one originally charged in connection with the shootings more than two decades ago. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche strongly affirmed the government's commitment to justice for the victims. The U.S. side assured the victims that it would not allow this case to languish. "For nearly 30 years, the families of the four murdered Americans have been waiting for justice," Blanche said.[2] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

President Prabowo Subianto announced the issuance of a Government Regulation on the Governance of Natural Resource Commodity Exports as a strategic step to strengthen the supervision and governance of national commodity exports. This was conveyed by the President at the Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the Nusantara Building of the MPR/DPR/DPD RI, Jakarta, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Through this policy, the President stated that commodity export sales must be carried out through state-owned enterprises (BUMN) appointed by the government as sole exporters. This policy will begin with three strategic commodities: palm oil, coal, and ferro alloys.[1]

"We are mandating that all of our natural resource sales, starting with palm oil, coal, and ferro alloys, be conducted through state-owned enterprises (BUMN) designated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia as sole exporters. This means that the proceeds from each export sale will be passed on by the government-appointed BUMN to the business actors managing these activities. This can be considered a marketing facility," said the President. According to the President, the main objective of this policy is to strengthen supervision and monitoring of natural resource commodity exports. Furthermore, this policy is also aimed at eradicating underpayments or under-invoicing, transfer pricing, and foreign exchange embezzlement from exports in order to optimize state revenues. "This policy will optimize tax revenues and state revenues from the management and sale of our natural resources," he said.[2] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

The Philippine Senate was locked down with military personnel seen entering the building where a senator wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) had sought refuge. Rounds of gunfire were heard but officials have not revealed who fired the shots. They said there were no casualties.[1]

Senator Ronald Dela Rosa said earlier he believed his arrest was imminent and urged Filipinos to prevent it. He is safe and with security personnel, officials said. He is accused by the ICC of killing dozens of people when he was police chief during former president Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs, in which thousands of alleged dealers were shot and killed. Duterte has been held at The Hague since March 2025. TV footage showed police commandos in fatigues entering the Senate building in Manila early on Wednesday evening, with anti-riot policemen with shields and helmets surrounding the perimeter.[2] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.
