Graduate is Having Trouble Collecting Her Diploma After Labeled as "Undesirable Visitor"'.

A Malaysian activist has been denied entry to Singapore and labeled an "undesirable visitor" for her political activities in the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on Friday (March 27, 2026). In a statement, the MHA said the activist, Fadiah Nadwa Fikri, had encouraged young Singaporeans to adopt his "radical style of advocacy." "He encouraged them to go beyond protests, mobilizing students and various communities in Singapore, and engaging in disruptive and violent actions in support of certain causes," the ministry said. "We will not tolerate foreigners interfering in our domestic politics, nor the promotion of unlawful, violent and disruptive methods of civil protest."[1]

In a post on X on Sunday, Fadiah—who received her PhD. from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in January—claimed that she was deported to Malaysia and barred from entering Singapore. She said her academic research focuses on the intellectual history of decolonization and anti-imperialism. Fadiah also stated that she had asked Singapore’s Immigration and Border Protection Agency (ICA) for the reasons for her deportation and entry ban, but was told that authorities “could not disclose them.” The ICA’s refusal of entry notice, which she posted online, stated that she was “not eligible for entry under the current immigration policy.” In another Instagram post, Fadiah stated that she traveled to Singapore on March 22 at the invitation of her former supervisor to give a guest lecture related to her PhD. dissertation.[2] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.
