A woman in Greece has shocked the public after deciding to divorce her husband of 12 years. The cause? ChatGPT, a chatbot created by OpenAI, which "predicted" that her husband was cheating based on a photo of coffee grounds in a cup. This unique story was shared directly by the husband when he appeared on a Greek morning TV show. He told how his marriage was on the brink because of allegations of infidelity that were 'confirmed' by ChatGPT. From the husband's story, the problem began when his wife found out about a trend on social media, where users were asking ChatGPT to "read" the coffee grounds in a cup - a kind of modern version of tasseography or the art of reading fate from coffee grounds. The wife tried this. After making coffee for the two of them, she took a photo of the coffee residue left in the cup and sent it to ChatGPT for 'interpretation'.[1]
The result? ChatGPT claimed that her husband was cheating on her with a mysterious woman with the initials "E" who would be "destined" to be with him. Furthermore, the chatbot said that the wife's coffee cup showed that the other woman was trying to destroy their family. The results of this AI 'prediction' made the wife furious. Without thinking, she immediately asked her husband to leave the house, told the children they were getting a divorce, and immediately contacted her lawyer to file for divorce. Three days after the incident, the husband received an official court letter. Although he refused to sign the divorce papers, he is now facing legal proceedings. His lawyer argued that the ChatGPT prediction-based accusations were baseless, and that his client was innocent until proven guilty.[2] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.
