Steven Lyons is said to be one of Scotland's most notorious mafia leaders. The 45-year-old was arrested by Indonesian Immigration in Bali following an Interpol alert. The request for Lyons' arrest is believed to have come through Spanish law enforcement. One source understands he is expected to be extradited to Spain. Steven Lyons is said to be the boss of the Lyons clan, originally based in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire.[1]
The clan has been embroiled in a bloody feud for over 20 years with its rival, the Glasgow-based Daniel group. In early March 2026, he was reportedly arrested in Bahrain—five months after being released from detention in Dubai. However, in the following weeks, his whereabouts remained a mystery—until he disembarked a plane in Bali. In a statement, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office said: 'Based on intelligence data, Lyons is suspected of being the leader of an international criminal organization.
